# ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI)

> Advertising in ChatGPT helps advertisers reach people as they explore ideas, evaluate options, and make decisions through relevant ads designed to fit naturally into the experience.

## Supported syncing

## Connect to OpenAI

Go to the [**Destinations** overview page](https://app.hightouch.com/destinations) and click the **Add destination** button. Select **OpenAI** and click **Continue**. You can then authenticate Hightouch to **OpenAI**.

Enter the following fields into Hightouch:

* **Pixel ID**
* **API key**
* **Ads API key**
* **Ad account ID**

## Sync configuration

Once you've set up your OpenAI destination and have a [model](https://docs.hightouch.com/getting-started/concepts.md#models) to pull data from, you can set up your sync configuration to begin syncing data. Go to the [**Syncs** overview page](https://app.hightouch.com/syncs) and click the **Add sync** button to begin. Then, select the relevant model and the OpenAI destination you want to sync to.

### Syncing events

Sync data from any source to OpenAI conversion events.

> To ensure syncs send each event, your event model must use a truly unique [primary key](https://docs.hightouch.com/getting-started/concepts.md#unique-primary-key-requirement). #### Record matching

You can match rows from your model to events in OpenAI on any column in your model and any field in OpenAI. Ensure the data types of the model column and OpenAI field you select match.

Hightouch lets you sync event properties via field mapping.

Sync data from any source to ChatGPT (OpenAI) custom audiences.

#### Record matching

You can match rows from your model to segments in ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI) on any column in your model and any field in ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI). Ensure the data types of the model column and ChatGPT Ads (OpenAI) field you select match.

#### Field mapping

Hightouch lets you sync segment fields via [field mapping](https://docs.hightouch.com/syncs/mapping-data.md).
You can map data from any of your model columns to the default segment fields.
Ensure your model's columns have the same data types as the fields you want to sync to.
